Mettle recently triumphed in the Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards, which are decided by an independent survey of customers.
Mettle topped the table of 13 business banks, ahead of HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays and Lloyds Bank, which all got a satisfaction rating of 4.5. In the survey, 97% of Mettle customers said they’d recommend it, and it was the only brand to get the maximum 5 stars for overall satisfaction.
For the latest awards, we collected almost 24,000 customer responses across 15 financial categories including business banking. In this category, we polled over 600 business account holders. We asked them to rate their satisfaction with the service they’d received from their banking provider and whether they’d recommend it to a friend.

To achieve a “would recommend” score of 97% shows that Mettle customers are very impressed with the service they receive from the business bank account. Notably, Mettle achieved the same score in the 2022 Customer Satisfaction Awards, so it’s clearly keeping up the good work.
One customer said that Mettle “has everything I need and [am] looking for with no complaints and fully recommend to my friends and family to use in the future if they're looking to save money”.
Customers said they really liked that Mettle has no monthly fees or transaction charges. Another feature cited was access to FreeAgent, the online accounting software which allows you to monitor cash flow, forecast corporation tax, view automated VAT returns and see the performance of your income, expenses and profitability. Customers called this out as a useful tool to have.
Other customers liked that Mettle is backed by NatWest, commenting that they valued its reliability and trustworthiness.
James, a business owner from Nottingham, said “Mettle is a brilliant bank for me to use. They are seriously trustworthy and reliable and safe to store your money. I have never had any issues with using Mettle, therefore this is why I scored the brand so highly and recommend them to my friends.”
Ease of use and good customer service were also key factors in why Mettle scored so highly in the awards. Customers liked that they could do everything online or via the app. There was also positive feedback about interactions with customer service, with one customer simply summing it up as “lovely brand, great customer service and great rates”.

The Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards, launched in 2019, celebrate companies that are going the extra mile for their customers. The annual survey asks respondents how satisfied they are with their providers on a scale from 1 to 5 and whether they’d recommend that company to a friend or not.
In their fifth year, the awards differ from other industry awards in that they’re purely based on customer responses. So opinions and scores have come directly from the people who are using Mettle.
